Each day comes with its own surprise, We all pray for pleasant surprises everyday but then when an unplanned negative event occurs, we still have to bear it and move on, hoping for a good day.

I didn't know I was going to be to running an expenses I didn't plan for today. I woke up and got to work like every other day. I resumed by 8am and began my usual routine.
I wanted to use one of our machines and then it fell and landed on my phone in the process.

It immediately altered my phone breaking it screen and leaving an imprint on it form. It was like a movie to me. The same phone that was all fine and good few seconds ago has just been damaged. Of course I started calculating how much it will cost me to fix it.

The store where I repaired the phone

Anyway I eventually did. I could not take picture because the phone I would have used is the very phone that was damaged. I got my screen fixed for N10,000, (68.4 steems) an expenses I never budgeted. I felt bad about the whole thing because this same amount could have been channeled into some other needs of mine.

On my way back to work

I got back to the farm and tried as much as possible to forget all that had happened. Of course I didn't tell anyone what happened to me, not even my boss as I didn't want to bother him with the issue.

I know him, he would be too worried and would also scold me for being careless. The truth is mistake doesn't make an announcement before showing up. I decided to take responsibility anyways.

Back to farm

I immediately went to check on our fermented feed for chicks, it actually a new discovery for me as am learning how thing work here in the farm. We have never tried feeding them with the fermented food, we decided to experiment and see how it turns out.

Our fermented feed

I served our chicks the food and watched their reaction. It happened that after I Introduced it, they were sceptical but few was able to try it out and loved it and before I knew what was happening they crowded it and began to feed on it. It worked!
It means we are gonna be trying it again and again. It has a way of saving our very expensive feed.

Our chicks trying out the fermented feed

I monitored the chick until later in the evening when I had to clean up and prepare to retire for the day. My colleague take up the job at this point because he stays perpetually with them even after the normal days activities.

I finished from work but could not get the thought of the unplanned expenses off my mind. The thought of what I could have rather spend the money on kept haunting me.
I give thanks to God for the today. I've learnt to thank God both in good and bad days such as this.

Let me wrap it up here. Thanks for following me to this point,I really appreciate your time. Gracias!
