Greetings my fellow steemers on steemkids! I hope you’re all doing great.
I’ve recently joined steemit and this is my first post ever on steemkids. But, before I begin with my post, I would like to thank the admin of this group for creating such a wonderful platform that is a source of learning for so many people, especially mothers like me.

Thank you @Ngoenyi you're doing a great job!

So, today I did a really fun activity using play dough with my two and a half year old daughter. Her name is Miraal. The purpose behind this activity was to enhance her fine motor skills by making different shapes, colors and her favorite foods while spending quality time with her.

Material
-Play dough
-Tools (optional)

So, the first thing we made was bananas. One of her favorite fruits. This plastic stencil came with the pack of play dough. You don’t necessarily need a stencil as you can make anything by simply shaping the play dough into whatever you want with your fingers.
First, I taught her that bananas are 'yellow' in color. Then her I helped her stick the play dough into the stencil. I then asked her to smooth out the upper surface of the play dough with a roller. Finally, I took the bananas out of the stencil and they looked great.

We repeated the same procedure with the strawberry stencil, which is again, her favorite fruit. But this time, the play dough got stuck inside the stencil and would not come off. Therefore, I tried another method. I placed the play dough below the stencil and pressed the stencil with force to get a strawberry cut out. And we got a great looking strawberry.

We then proceeded to make and learn two shapes (circle and square) with the same method.

If there’s one thing Miraal would want eat for the rest of her life, then that would be ICE CREAM! So, of course we had to make that as well. I made the waffle cone for her and she made the ice cream scoops herself!

Lastly, we made this lovely flower together.

So by now, Miraal got kind of tired and was not ready to ‘make’ more things with me. She was more interested in playing on her own but I was really enjoying this activity so to keep her engaged, I decided to give her Dragon Nails and she absolutely loved them! :D

In the end, after all the ‘hard work’ I got really hungry so I made myself a slice of pizza and mango juice for Miraal to enjoy! :D

After completing the activity, I went to the kitchen to get myself a glass of water and came back to a MESS. Miraal had destroyed all the stuff that we had just made and mixed them all together into a ball. Sigh I guess that’s just how kids are. :)
She then placed the play dough over her eyes and asked me playfully in the cutest tone ‘Mama where areeeee youuuuu’ and that just melted my heart. So we just hugged each other and giggled at her silliness. ^_^
