Hello steem kids and kids lovers, we are yet to develop our art by practicing more, and this week we get to draw an ant.

Describe an ant

Ants are the species of insects that have 3body sections; head, thorax, and abdomen.
Ants have large heads with compound eyes and antennas on the head with six legs.
They are small insects that are between the length of 1/3 to 1/2 hence being very small insects.

Ants develop in stages for growth that is; eggs-larva- pupa and adults.
They have different colors. some black, others are reddish and others brown.
They live in groups and those groups, they have the queen, the female ants, and the male ants.

What can we learn from the life style of an ant

Ants are survivors.
Being that they are very small insects yet they have to move from one place to another to look for what to feed on under different circumstances hence this should give us a lesson that we should keep going no matter what obstacles we face.
Ants are social.
They move in groups, live together, and build together hence this should be a lesson to us that when things are done together the fast they can be done.

Yes.
I have seen ants in my house, my compound, and my home garden. they are just everywhere.

Are they important to man,what significant role do they play in humans life ?

Ants play a role in keeping the environment clean.
They gather dead insects and plants which they take to feed on.
Ants create holes in the soil when building their hills and where to stay, hence these holes act as a passage for water into the soil.

If they are dangerous to man,tell us their bad effects.

These little insects are really dangerous to man in the following ways;
If disturbed they can bite. of which some types of ants gave venom such as the fire ant.
Its notes cause irritation, stomach pains, swelling of the skin, and nausea hence leading to health problems.
Some ants destroy our homes, gardens, and woods.
They create holes in the walls of houses, destroy plants and eat up wood hence causing home and garden damage.

in conclusion

Ants are not that harmful to humans though not friendly.
Most humans are irritated by them because they are uncontrollable.They appear from no where and can be found everywhere.
