Update #77: Writing Expedition ✍️, Have Fun while Writing! (Story : When it was great)

How's everything going? I have finally decided to participate in this contest, this contest has been in steemkids community for more than 1 year. Based on my little research, Thursdays are for stories, poems musics and others. I will be talking about a real life story today about a particular association in my church. This association is for teenagers in catholic churches and I have been a member for more than 5 years. Stay tuned as I present a story about it to you now.

Young Catholic Students of Nigeria (YCSN)

This was a very popular association in my church, is found in so many catholic churches but the one in my church have been falling gradually. The current situation of this association is that most of the executives are no longer serious, they absent themselves when is time for them to perform their duties in the church. I feel so disappointed in them because they always give school as an excuse.

The executives are all students in Portharcourt universities which means non of them are outside Portharcourt so why do they always absent themselves. The president and treasurer are the only active executives, though they aren't in school yet but the treasurer is still in high school.

I was so disappointed when they didn't do their meeting the day they decided to be serious, that moment came that day and much people weren't present so the president called off the meeting while I was on my way. I was so surprised they were absent again.

The association used to be a very lively one, we always hold our meetings every third Sunday of the month, it was these recent executive that was leading us. I was enjoying the association to the fullest then and there was a time I was among the welfare committee, that period we successfully did a student week program and I was so happy about it's success which was also as a result of my hardwork.

Some of the executives were in school but they were still active in their offices. We will have a large number of people in our meetings and sometimes we will share rice as refreshments.

We normally win any competition we go for in other catholic church and we were regarded as the best and most active. We used to do alot of quiz and games every Friday evenings.

We were always having new members almost every week but things have changed, our members are shying away, the president is depressed, since January till now they haven't held any monthly meeting, I wish the president can take the matter to our Reverend father so that he can replace all the unserious executives with active and experienced members. Somehow I believe this association will rise again in my church, I believe everyone will embrace the association again.

Greetings bro or should I say See, Judge and Act? 😂 YCS association in our church was very strong and I always enjoyed it, we were always having our monthly meetings every month and weekly meetings every Friday evenings.

I really love the former executives than this recent one even if my siblings are there. Alot of people have absent themselves from the association and this isn't right at all, I just wish the association can come back to it's normal self again, we did alot then and I feel pity for the president because is obvious the association wants to fall in his tenure and that's a bad record.

Your post is nice and I will try my best to write a post like this, I wished I saw it on time I guess I would have thought of a story or look for a real life story like this to write but there's still next week to participate. Have a nice day bro.
