Hi Friends, I'm glad to participate in this weekly DIY creativity contest organised by @mesola. My DIY for this week is: Artistic drawing of a Ballerina.
A Ballerina is someone who dances Ballet. Ballet dance style originally started from Italy before it spread to all parts of the world. This dance has been incorporated in most Dance school curriculum to teach students the moves.
The dance step thus goes this way : Shoulders slightly lifted up, arms spread out, tiptoe, rotating the body, making body movements with fluidity and precision. Most times you dance with a partner for lifting and easy rotation.
So my dearest friends, I present to you a Ballerina. Below are the pictures of the steps I took to achieve this masterpiece.
Step1 :
I took pictures of the plain A4 paper that I was going to use to draw.
Step2 :
I started off by drawing the flare part of the gown worn by the dancer. They usually dress in a short flare gown, a long panty hose with a flat shoe.
Step3:
I drew the legs. Amongst the things you'll be taught when learning this type of dance is Tiptoe, is a skill that you cannot do without.
From the drawing you can see the dancer on her tiptoe.
Step4:
I drew the Upper part of her body. From the drawing you can see that she's putting on a sleeveless top with one arm facing upwards.
Step5:
I added the second hand. Yeah the dance is already on the move, probably rotating because of the way her flair skirts are kinda standing and the position of her hands.
Step6:
Lastly I proceeded to draw the face to give it the feminine features. Like the shuku hairstyle, the earrings together with some baby hair. I added the eyes and mouth.
Step7.:
I double shaded the lines to make it more visible. I like doing so after every drawing I make.
These were the simple steps I took to achieve this masterpiece. What do you think guys? Can you dance ballet? Can you learn how to dance ballet, if you were given the opportunity? For me though, I have tried it some time ago at the former school where I was teaching and I will say it was really an enjoyable experience, it's an interesting way to exert our body and relax our mind.
Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed it.
