Our Environment Deserves to be Cleaner, Greener and Healthier

Greetings my lovelies, I hope we're all good. Here's my entry for the contest organised by @ngoenyi. This is indeed an exceptional contest because it encourages positive actions, it has helped me to be more mindful of my sorroundings, I now look out for opportunities to make a positive Impact and be useful.

What did you do?

I noticed that the spot where we normally fetch our drinking water in the compound has become overgrown with grass. My innermost instincts to keep that immediate sorrounding clean was clicked which prompted me to do the right thing by cutting the grass.

How did you do it?

Though I don't have the tools needed to carry out the work which is a hoe or cutlass, but I didn't let that to deter me. Without hesitation, I borrowed cutlass from the gardener in our compound and got to work.

My work won't be complete without raking out the blades of grass littered on the ground but there was no rake in sight, I had to improvise with my broom and dustpan. With this handful of tools I swept and dusted the ground clean.

Everywhere was now looking clean and evergreen. small gestures as this really does go a long way to make a difference .

Where did you do it?

I did it in our compound, the spot where we fetch our drinking water.

What motivated you to do it?

Seeing that spot getting messed up with grass made me concerned because those grasses made it look like all the tenants have travelled hence why it is bushy while we are all around.

It also made me feel like the water will no longer be fit for drinking, that was the reason I swung into action to keep it clean. And it is not good for the sorrounding to be an eyesore.

Leading a healthy lifestyle starts by carrying out these little tasks of cleanliness.
