This is when parents feel exhausted or tired physically, mentally and emotionally as a result of working hard to take care of the home which can be really stressful.

Causes of Parental burnout?

Below are some of the common causes of parental burnout
📍Stress: parents can be really stressed out when they try to manage work, family plus other personal responsibility.

📍Lack of support: this can also lead to burnout especially when one receives insufficient help from family members and friends.

📍Inadequate night rest: burnout is inevitable in this case, because when we don’t get a goodnight rest it will be a tough struggle to manage our daily tasks.

📍Financial stress: the financial burden of raising and providing for kids will make one work really hard in order to meet up their needs and wants.

How to know if we as parents are burnout?

Most times the physical symptoms we experience says It all like headaches, skin breakouts, anger issues, mood swings and other stress related health issues. If you are going through any of these you might want to take a break, rest and do things that will put a smile on your face and relax your mind.

How to deal with burnout?

📌 Create time for yourself, a time to do you, relax, exercise, and meditate in order to replenish your strength.

📌 Delegate some tasks to others: ask for help by delegating some tasks to others in the family. Like teaching the kids how to do some basic house chores.

📌 Prioritize tasks: this method helps us to do the most important things first.

Parental burnout is real, kids can show support by doing some basic house work so that the stress can be reduced for their parents.
