Greetings to steemkids!

What is cryptocurrency? List 5 examples of cryptocurrency apart from the one listed in the lecture.

     *Cryptocurrency
  • Cryptocurrency is a digital asset people use as investments and for online purchases.similar to real-world currency, except it does not have any physical embodiment. I say it's a medium of exchange between businesses, You exchange real currency, like dollars, to buy “coins” or “tokens” of a certain kind of cryptocurrency. ... You exchange your money for crypto and use it just like real money (at places that accept it as a type of payment).

3.USD Coin ( USDC)
4.Dogecoin(DOGE)
5.Chainlink( LINK)

Explain one characteristics of cryptocurrency. In the example given in the lecture, whose choice will you go for, Jane's or Joe's? Why?

  *characteristic of cryptocurrency

For the characteristic, I chosed immutablilty and transparency.

Although am still figuring out exactly how to use cryptocurrencies and and what for, am happy to belong in the currency of the future because they are here to stay. Aside from the other major benefits of cryptocurrencies .

     *Immutable and transparency

“Immutable”, in its simplest sense, means “cannot be undone.”
Immutability in regards to blockchain and cryptocurrency should follow 3 principles:

  • It should be highly improbable or difficult to rewrite history.
*bIt should be impossible for anyone but the owner of a private key to move funds.
  • All transactions are recorded on the blockchain. (to guarantee transparency)
           *Joe's

        *Reasons

I would prefer Joe's payment mode of using crypto currency, due to its decentralization process, I don't need any third party validating my transactions , include greater simplicity in placing the transaction, user anonymity, no interruptions from intermediaries.
Thanks for reading!
