WELL, working with teens and children have made me to really see and believe that once the mind can see it, then you can do it, be it. With the mind, there's absolutely nothing you can not achieve if you dream it.

So why don't we make our wards minds go wild, explore different grounds and encourage them that nothing is impossible to do.

Where do parents fit in
Do you know that as a parent, what you say to your child can make the child dream big and out of the box or keep the child away from dreaming??? Timidity is a matter of the mind irrespective of the child's disability.

My Duties as a Parent
Praise, encourage, motivate the child. Look out for the child's abilities and promote. Don't be too hard on the weakness.. classify it as the child's uniqueness and always be the biggest cheerleader. Harness the weakness into something productive. There's an ability in every child, look for it. Open up your heart to love and don't discriminate even if the child has caused for pains. Pray, read up books on parenting, don't yell always. The rod signifies so many things, don't be in a hurry to beat. Discipline with love. Be part of webinars, celebrate every little wins, make time to visit their schools, talk to their teachers nicely (this will make them open to you), remember occasions associated with them.

TALK

Providing for a child can not equate to communication. Communication helps to know what they are facing in school, places of worship, homes etc. As a parent, always create time, make out schedules and keep them. Be your child's best friend and confidant.
