What is the meaning of co-education?

The word co-education means the act of educating both boys and girls in the same classroom. This means that both sexes stay together in the same school and the same class and then receive lectures or teaching together.

Co-education has to do with a mixed school where both the boys and girls go to receive education. So any place where you see a boy and a girl present receiving education, we can say that is co-education.

Which education do you prefer for your kids? Coeducational centers or all boys /all girls educational centers?

I went to a co-education center and I must say that is the best for me and for that reason, I will also prefer that for my kids. I haven't been to a single school of only boys or girls but from the side, I'm seeing it now, it must be a very boring experience and I don't want my kid to have such an experience.

In co-education, I guess there will be more socialization and competition will be much and also it will help both genders to learn more from their selves which is also part of the education we are talking about.

How do Co-educational centers play a role in developing the personality of a child?

Co-educational center plays an important role in the development of the personality of children because they learn from each other and they get to understand each other by learning together.

With co-education, both genders will know much about each other and they will know the likes, dislikes, and how to handle issues associated with the opposite sex. In so doing you will notice the child is growing more knowledgeable about his or her opposite sex.

Teachers in the area too play an important role by educating them practically on how they can live together without issues and how they can better compete with each other to boost their academic pursuit.

Merits and demerits of Co-education.

It's true that anything that has an advantage also has a disadvantage and for that reason, the major merit associated with co-education to me is that there is a lot of competition between the boy and the girl in the class and they will get to know about each other and how to handle each other more properly.

The demerit of co-education is that the boy and the girl may get corrupt and go ahead to do sexual immoralities leading to unwanted pregnancy since they are together learning. They may want to practicalize what they have been learning.
