Introduction

Hello kids lovers all over the world, I am @patience90, a guidian and also, a lover of kids. You are welcome to my blog.
Today, I am delighted to share with you an interesting topic that seems to be thrown out of the window in this generation by some parents and care givers with 10% payout to @steemkidss.

Giving a child luxury and everything at the platter of gold isn't a bad idea but sometimes you have to think of tomorrow.
What if the child is in different environment that cannot reach luxurious lifestyle?

Catch Them Young

There are a lot of things that kids need to know at an early age, therefore today, I will share one.

Chores

Chore is a routine task given in the house which can be difficult but we cannot live without.
Examples are sweeping, washing of dishes, laundry etc

Often times, we don't give kids any task saying they are too young or when they cry, we let them be out of pity and before you know it, they have grown.

As a child growing up, I was fond of crying each time a chore is assigned to me but I was equally forced to do them most times and today, I can boldly say I am enjoying every bit of it because I can stay anywhere and there is hardly a chore I cannot do.
All thanks to people who trained me and never bothered with my tears.
Some are not even close to me to enjoy the fruits of their labour.

This is a clear example of what the Bible says.

train up a child and when he grows up, he will not depart from it.

What age do you think it's necessary to start giving a child chore?

As an African, there is no specific age when a child is expected to start chore.
The moment a child knows from left to right, we kick up training starting from asking the child to take away the plate he/she ate with to the appropriate place after eating.
This can start as early as the child starts walking. Yes.
This will enable the child know how to keep the place tidy.

There is an adage in my place that says

you can't bend a tree when it has grown.
You can only bend it when it is young and tender.

This is applicable to training if kids.
You can't ignore training up a child when he/she is young and expect to start when the child grows.
That will be difficult if not even impossible.

Chores, is it for a particular gender?

No! Chores are not done by just a gender.
Every child is special therefore, no one is exempted from chores.
Don't start the habit of treating one gender to be more special to the other.

Conclusion

Training up your kids is not and never punishment.
You can have all the appliances in the house, good. Teach them how to use them early.
You may have servants at your beck and call, fantastic. It's not bad if you still assign some responsibilities to your kids.
The last time I checked, nobody has ever died of doing a chore.
Catch them Young.

The kids are free gift from God and that is the more reason we have to train them when they are still young because some may want to go wide but remembering the moral lessons they received when they were still small will just make them decamp. Thanks for sharing with us @patience90.

Thanks for dropping by.
I appreciate

Seriously, some parents do not seee need in training their children to learn how to engage in house chores.

Thanks for sharing these amazing points with is, your kids are doing great.

Thank you ma'am for reading.

This is indeed an eyeopener to many of us and to me in particular as I am new in the parenting system and my kids are still very young . It's a good thing to start early now to train and teach them now. Even when it comes to discplining a child , some parents capitalize on the fact that they are still small and neglect discpline thereby SPARING THEIR ROD AND SPOILING THE CHILD. Thanks @patience90 for this educative post it is a timely one to me.

Thanks for reading.
We ought to train up kids around us even if we didn't birth them.

Most parents in the society have to understand that chores are a means of training and not punishment for the kids.

I am glad you also mentioned the issue of gender with regards to chores, as there shouldn't be a form of aligning the chores to a particular gender.

Nice write-up.
