Introduction

Childhood:

This is a stage whereby every human must pass through into adulthood. It is a state of being a child between infancy and puberty.
Therefore, there are a lot of sweet, bitter, exiting and annoying memories that comes along with our childhood. One of such memories is chores.
In as much as I hate chores back then, I simply had no option than to carry out my duties in the house every morning before going to anywhere which can either be school, church or other functions.

However before I go further, I sincerely wish to appreciate the @steemkids community coordinators and everyone who is responsible for the smooth running of this wonderful community.

Chores are tasks being done in routine especially in a household.

Example:

Washing of dishes, sweeping, mopping, laundry, cooking, etc.

Mention at least 3 childhood chores that were your worst

  • Doing dishes
  • Laundry
  • Mopping

Why were they your worst?

  • Doing dishes was my worst chores ever. Most especially when it comes to pots of draw soup. Washing pots of draw soup was my worst nightmare to the extent that it always bring tears to my eyes and always the last item to be washed. It irritates me seeing it slippery.
But a simple fact remains that, draw soup was and is my favorite soup ever.
  • As for laundry, I had no younger ones, therefore, it was only my dirty clothes for laundry until my elder sister started giving birth.
Laundry causes itchy and sores on my fingers and palms because of my sensitive skin which made it one of my worst chore, but I had no option than to do laundry by myself.
  • For mopping, it was my worst for the fact that I had to be squeezing water out the mop and returning it back into the bucket.
It gives me goosebumps but I dare not refused to do it.

Who normally send you to do them?

Normally in my house, the dishes is left for the last born which I happen to be one. As for the other chores, still as the youngest, I was sent to do the chores by my older siblings as it was their ways of training me to become a better person in life. And I thank God I can do every chore because they forced me into doing them all.

Are they still your worst now?

No except for mopping. I still dislike mopping till now. So mopping is still my worst chore.

Will you encourage your kids to hate chores?

Never. I will never encourage my kids to hate chores. Right now I am enjoying the benefits of learning all those chores I was forced to learn.

Conclusion

In conclusion, I am forever grateful and indebted to my older siblings for making me do my assigned chores whether I like it or not. They made me the woman I am today not minding the fact that I was always crying and being lazy doing my chores.
I love you all.

Finally, parents and caregivers should always insist on their kids or wards to perform their given tasks.
Chores doesn't kill a child but prepares him or her for a better tomorrow because you won't be there to help the child out when they leave you.
One thing is certain, your child will surely leave you some day and be on his or her own. What becomes a child who was over pampered without giving any chores?

Subsequently, I wish to invite @desiredlady, @stanleynnah and @benson6 to come share your worst childhood chores.

Thanks a lot.
