Hello everyone in this great Community @steemkid, I'm delighted to partake in this wonderful contest by a great figure @prolee, I acknowledge his nice and educative contests he has been doing in different communities. Kudos to you sir.

When I saw this contest, I was amazed because the topic is indeed a wonderful one. I have always thought about this severally, most times I ask myself "why is it that some kids are smarter than other children" so I make researches and I discovered some reasons.
So I'm really glad because I believe through this contest I can be able to bring my ideas and ways on how to make a kid think fast and act smart.

Before talking about the way to make a kid think fast, there are some factors you must consider, if you are a teacher for instance and you think a child is dull, there are some factors you must consider before jumping into conclusion.

AGE: before introducing something to a child, the age needs to be considered, you first of all check if the age of that kid can comprehend the message you are about to pass to the kid.
Let's take an instance, you can't be teaching a girl of child of 5 years old about ovulation and mensuration and you expect that child to grab what you are saying, imagine the disaster 🤔, or asking a kid questions relating to organic chemistry, that's a big error.

BACKGROUND: the child's background can also be a big factor to consider, some background brings children backward, imagine a family filled with illiterates that can't even spell their name, they don't even talk about education, the "school na scam" type of background. Imagine telling a child about computer when the kid hasn't even seen one before. So background should be put into consideration too.

Now after considering these two major factors, let's go straight to the topic of the day.

HOW TO MAKE A KID THINK FASTER AND SMARTER

The following ways will help in making a kid think faster and smarter.

BE FRIENDLY: people fail to understand that this is the first unique step to take when dealing with kids, you can't be harsh and expect a child to be ok pyshcologically, be friendly and nice, always make them know that they can do it, don't make them feel inferior or feel like they are a failure.

RHYMES: this is a very good tool that helps kids think fast.
Rhymes are repetition of similar sounds normally used for a musical effect.
Now in this case, we are talking about those nursery rhymes. We all know nursery rhymes like "baa baa black sheep" "row your boat" and so on, this are nice Poems children love to sing, we all know they love fun a lot, so learning with fun will really help them grab things quick.
For instance, I learnt how to spell pawpaw though the nursery rhyme " paw-paw is a kind of fruit" and hippopotamus from the nursery rhyme "hip for the hippopo". 😁😁

SOCIAL LIFE: this can also help a child to be smart, any child who mingles with other children tends to learn fast, because the kid will always grab something when he or she comes together with his or her friends, parents should also try their best to take them out on social activities.

PATIENCE: be patient while dealing with kid, this is also an important way, you don't impose things on them, in that way you are mounting pressure on them making them to forget the ones they knew before. And note this, some children are fast learners while some are slow learners, same as adults, it's nature but doesn't mean the fast learners are the smartest, No!!, Remember "Slow and Steady wins the race" it might shock you that the slow learners may end knowing it better.

QUESTIONS AND REVISIONS: as a teacher always ask them questions concerning the topic you taught them, most of them tends to forget what they are taught immediately something else caught their attention.

so before concluding, ask them lots of questions and give them something to go and revise on at home. This falls to the parents also, call your kids and ask them what they are taught, if possible do this everyday, it helps you know if they are following up or not.

HOME CRISES: home crises really affects children a lot.

A child looses focus if her or she normally experience crises at home, so this falls to the parents/guidians to stop domestic violence as it affects the smartness of a kid.

EDUCATIVE INSTRUMENTS: using educative instruments will go a long way in making your kid a good thinker.
These educative tools can be movies or cartoons containing educative contents like barney and friends and mgbongo kids, pictures conveying educative stuffs like parts of the body, our leaders (current affairs), the society etc and even games that makes one think, games like chess and Scrabble.

HEALTH: the final thing I will be talking about is health, this is very important, "Health they say is Wealth".

It is only a healthy child that will have the strength to think and explore. So we should try our best to keep our children healthy and sound by giving them good foods, foods that support the growth of a child physically and mentally, also engage them on exercises to keep them for.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, kids are like newbies in this world, how the child grows up in his your hands, imagine you as a parent, in your vicinity people admire you because of how smart your child is, it's a thing of joy, so always have it at the back of your that you are like a caretaker, so if your child is going the wrong way you are responsible to straight that child up. No child is a dullard, as long as you nurture them well, you are bound to see results, so I think with this few ways, a kid is bound to be active mentally.

So I am going to draw the cutting here, thank you all for going through and have a nice day.
Best regards to
