Kids are all gifted differently and have learning styles that suit them best. One of the ways one can make a child think smarter is by teaching them various things in a way that they understand. Some children are visual learners, others are audio learners and others may learn by doing things practically. Therefore if anyone is teaching a child something they will enable them think smarter by using the style that suits the child best as they will understand perfectly.
Another thing that can help children think smarter is by not undermining their conversation ability. Children should be talked to about various topics which we may think are to complex for them to understand. However, one has to make sure to converse in a way that the kids understands for example through using simple language. One has to make sure to ask the child the questions and first get their understanding and one can build on that.
Teaching children to read at an early age can expose them to various topics where they can have their minds expand as they exposed to a wider vocabulary, exposed to new topics and these can build their thinking capacity. Sometimes one has to bear in mind the interests of a child as they will have a higher learning capacity for subjects they are interested in. Therefore if one notices that a child is interested in a certain thing be it a car etc one can expose to some aspects of a car.
One can expose the child to some aspects of that subject definitely not the very complex ones but by building the child’s way up by exposing him/her to the subject bit by bit. This will enable the child think smarter especially in such an area as they feel empowered that they have found something they love to do. One can also help children think smarter by making them travel to different places like a child should be able to visit a farm so as to know where food and animal produce comes from, visit a lake to know where water comes from etc.
If resources are available one can make the child travel abroad to experience new cultures to be exposed to different ways of seeing things and this will enable the child to be more empathetic and open-minded. These are some of the ways I could think of to make a child think faster and smarter.
