I stand with the believe that music heals but sometimes the lyrics kills
To me, music serve so many purposes in life of which I will try to list some of the portrayed usages
•Music is therapeutic in nature
•It ease stress
•It stabilizes emotions
•Music most times serves as companion
•It sometimes serves as a lesson in disguise
•we learn from music
•Informations are most times communicated through music

In my own end, music is something I cannot do without. Music keeps me focused, it activates me to do better. That is why I go out with my earpiece or buds, if I'm home my speaker is available. If I want to anything and music is not there to back me up, I don't think I will be serious with it. Lack of music provokes me and makes life boring. I am addicted to music 💯✅😁
I am not a fan of love or heartbreak music, but for the purpose of this contest I had to and I must commend, the music is not bad at all. The music surfaces in lullaby, love, blues, etc. It militates so many aspects of music
Back to the questions of the contest
•What can you say about the choice of song? Does it ring a bell ?
Answer : First, "Love You From A Distance" is an emotional song of nostalgia, heartbreak and the difficulty of moving on. It was released in 2021 by a female artist and a sing writer "Ashly Kutcher".
All I can say about the music is that it resonates with someone or the writer to be precised who has had to let go of someone who they still love but cannot be with.
We can see in the lyrics how the writer painted distinctive picture of cherished memories and the pain of separation which makes it easy to connect with
•What challenges did you encounter trying to sing and how did you overcome it?
The choice of words is quite simple with the use of simple English words which with that, the lyrics can easily be assimilated. But the problem is in the pitch, intonations and vocal controls. One of the undercovered challenge I encountered was in balancing emotional delivery with vocal pitch
"Love you from a distance" by Ashly Kutcher requires a string vocal approach but soft at the same time to portray the context of the writer or composer.
I overcame the challenge through some adaptations:
1.I really focused on my breath control to maintain my vocal stability
2.I had to put myself in the writer's shoe inorder to connect personally with the lyrics
3.I listened to the song severally to get acquainted with the intonations
•What effect does this song and lyrics have on you? Were you emotional as you sang the song?
To be true and plane, I didn't like the song at first, but upon consistency in listening to the music and paying kind attention to the lyrics I became addicted to it. It made me emotional as it resonates with my personal experiences.
I became so emotional after getting to understand the lyrics of the writer. I hope she finds healing within her shattered heart

To the organizer in person of @bossj23, thank you for bringing to our awareness such an amazing vocal. You've made me began to develop passion for love and heartbroken songs. Though I pray that life's hurdles should not push me to the extent of using these kind of songs for personal therapeutic purposes
