Hello Kids,

It’s indeed another lesson on Computer Studies, and I want to use this opportunity to welcome you our dear kids to our new lesson for today.

But wait a minute, I want to find out, did you do last week's homework?

If you didn’t, that was bad, but if you did, it was good and so I want to take time to appreciate all of you who did the assignment properly. I commented on your homework, did you notice?

Recap of our last week's class

In our last class, I taught you guys the different types of Computers and I gave a clear explanation of what they look like. And I was also glad to see different things which you have learned during the class in your homework.

But today we want to talk about Input devices, So what are they?

Input Devices

Input devices are devices through which data is made available or transferred to the computer for storage and processing. It is also a device in which instructions or commands are given to the computer in form of a program. The input device of the computer comes in different forms such as; numbers, alphabets, or graphics.

Haven’t know what an input device is, let’s take a look at their examples, can you think of one? Alright don’t mention yet, I will give you time to mention them later. Look at the examples below:

Examples of input devices are;

The Keyboard:
It is used to issue commands to the computer, as well as name folders and files and type texts into the computer. As time goes on we would have a practice session in one of our classes. Can you remember the keyboard? Check it again below.
