Episode Four

4...i

Lady Eleanor's first instinct was to ask what they wanted with the child just like any normal mistress would but the moment she opened her mouth, only two words managed to get out.

"Bring her" she turned to the security from earlier

"What... What do you want with her?" She asked after a while, in a voice that could pass for a whisper

She bit her lips a little ashamed. She didn't dare say more for she was terrified of the Salvatores, like who wasn't?

"Nothing unimportant" Blade replied

"Don't be too stern with the old lady, she must be worried for her student, it's only natural. Head mistress, we will just have a light chat with her" Lewis replied and relaxed on the chair

A light chat? Blade wanted to roll his eyes. The side of the master's chest the girl had pierced still kept bleeding out. To think, she claimed to be a doctor. Hopefully, it ended up in a light chat.

Soon, the security lady arrived with Calista. From outside the office, her lousy voice could be heard questioning the poor security guard on why she was being called out.

Calista looked obviously displeased when she walked into the head mistress office.

"You called for me?" She frowned

There was only few minutes left before the school activities for the day began fully and when that happens, she could no longer stay at the school's garden. Why did they have to call her out?

Before lady Eleanor could say anything, Calista sighted Blade and Lewis. Recognizing Lewis as her patient from the previous day, she went forward to caution him.

"Why are you out of bed?" She scolded

"Do you want to kill yourself. I clearly stressed GETTING MORE REST. Do you think that you are in the condition to be roaming about"

Blade who was standing beside Lewis instantly got infuriated. Some highschool kid dare to scold his master. He was about to retort all aggressive but then Lewis replied left him tongue tied.

"I will return and rest now" Lewis nodded obediently

"I just wanted to meet you in person and thank you" he added

His tone was warm and soothing, nothing like arrogant the one he had used on the head mistress just now.

"That's okay, but you should rest more" Calista's tone softened

After all, She had drained herself the previous day all because of this fellow. It would be too pitiful if all her hard work went to waste.

Lewis stared at the girl before him. She was a striking image of her mother. The school uniform she had didn't make her look less, in contrast, it highlighted her features.

Her dark brown hair fell freely from her delicate face unto her shoulders. She peered at him with a level of concern in those brown eyes. Like one a mother would have for sickling child.

This made him feel even more guilty. He quickly darted his eyes away and took some steps back.

Calista raised her brows, a little surprised by his actions. Was he remorseful because she scolded him or was he feeling dizzy?

"Master, are you alright?" Blade asked

Lewis was acting strange. Firstly, he was warm and gentle with the girl, now he seemed intimidated and strangely remorseful. Just because some random girl said a few to him?

"Of course he is not alright. You let him walk around in his condition" she scolded

"And you would know that how? Because you are a doctor?" He sneered

He was already sick of the girl's nagging.

Blade was about to say more but was instantly shut by the cold glare that was sent his way. From Calista, that was expected but from Lewis?! Weren't they on the same side?

"Mr Salvatore, I apologize for whatever she has done. She is just a child. All children are bound to go wrong" lady Eleanor quickly stepped in

She had no idea what Calista did but she couldn't let this conversation go on.

At first, it was simply matters between two individuals or just the Salvatores and the Anderson's in a dispute nothing to get herself involved in but then, this brat of a girl seemed to have claimed to be a doctor and even treated someone under that pretence.

That alone could damage the reputation of the instituion that she and the school management had been trying to uphold for years. The bratty child didn't choose any random person for her experiment, it had to be a Salvatore.

"No, she didn't do anything wrong" Lewis defended firmly

"For one, I owe her a huge debt, a very huge one" he added
