Our market shopping was normally reserved for Saturdays but this week's Saturday is occupied by more important events, hence, making us push the market day to the Friday before it.

Morning/Afternoon

On Thursday morning, my mum informed me I'd be going to market the today, Friday instead of Saturday to get some food items we needed at home. So waking up today morning, I knew I had somewhere to go to. I planned on going early so as to buy the goods just as it's brought and not what was left from customers choosing.

After our morning devotion, I did some house chores, had breakfast and then got ready to leave for the market.

Before stopping at the market, I went to the bank, the ATM point outside precisely, which is close to the market. I wanted to withdraw the money I would be needing to buy the items. I joined the queue I met and when it was my turn, I withdrew and went to the market.

After my withdrawal, the next stop was the market normally called Uruwa Uto, where I spent the most part of my day haggling prices and buying items. I bought different foodstuffs from the market which include;

Evening

Having left for market by 11am, spent almost one hour at the bank, I came back from the market by few minutes to four and join the mum and siblings in the kitchen to cook after sorting out and arranging all the items I got.

For this evening, my mum was preparing editan soup using water leaf, editan leaf, little melon, fish, cow skin, and periwinkle as the main ingredients.

In no time, dinner was ready. After eating, I rested a while and then, I started writing about my day using my note pad with hopes to post of posting it on Steemit as my entry for a Steem Kids & Parents contest.

In all, my day was great.
