Good day everyone, it's a pleasure be on this platform again. I'll like to share what went on in my day today.
MORNING
My day began as any normal day would, I woke up by 5:35am and began my daily activities. Normally my sister is a student so, i have to wake up early as well as my parents so we move together for our day's activities. After I woke up I went to call my mom to get instructions on what to do, or what to start preparing before she gets up.
She shared between my sister and I what to do, so we are faster. We were to prepare plantain porridge for the day. My sister chosed peeling the plantain, while I chosed washing the dishes. My mom wasn't feeling well, so we had to prepare everything for her to make things easier.
After my sister finished peeling the plantain, I took over and cut it into smaller pieces as well as washed it. After I finished up everything including putting the plantain inside the pot, I turned on the gas cooker and the food began cooking. Later my mom came and finished up the cooking.
After the food was ready, it was dished out for everyone to eat in the morning as well as later in the day. We finished up everything in the kitchen and left to prepare ourselves to go out for our day's activities. We took our bath, got dressed and went out.
My dad dropped my sister at school and my mother and I at my mom's shop. He then left for his own business. On reaching the shop we discovered that the apprentice supposed to open the shop, didn't come early. So we had to remove the goods and arrange the shop ourselves.
AFTERNOON
Later during the day, my mom went on with her business as usual. Showing her apprentice what to do and different ways to go about sewing to make it neat and attractive. My mom's patience and kindness made it possible and enabled the apprentice to feel encouraged and not give up.
It takes one patience to teach, and patience on the part of a teacher makes it more easier for the student to learn and acquire more knowledge and skills. So my mom being amiable made it possible to enjoy the learning process and not feeling frustrated or giving up.
I on the other hand was trying to finish up a cloth I didn't complete the previous day. Sewing most times can be very stressful,it takes one a lot to finish up a dress and make it fit for the one wearing it. Experiences from my mom makes me conclude that as well as personal experience.
Growing up, I often witness my mom attend to different customers who have different demands and expectations. So I've learnt over the years that while sewing one needs to be very careful and quick to notice small errors and do the needful corrections immediately to avoid complains from customer.
Later, my mom bought coke and bread worth 3.50steem which in naira amounts to 870#.
Which we ate later before we went home.
EVENING
We went home like any normal day before 6pm to avoid going late, as the distance from the shop to our house is far. Before going back home, we went to our church which closes before 9pm and returned back home after we finished.
On getting home we ate okra soup and garri, with some fruits to aid in digestion as well .
After which we went to bed as it was half past 10pm already.
That was how my day went. I appreciate you @m-fdo for giving me the privilege to write on how I spent my day.
I'll like to invite @tripple-e @wisdom123 and @vikkybaby to join in this writing.
