If nature was to be given a human-like character, I would call it a mother. Mother nature has made provisions for man and animals to ensure that they stay healthy. This is due to the provision of plants that serve different purposes. Plant photography in a general sense refers to the art of taking detailed pictures of plants around our environment or beyond. This is one of the simplest genres of photography because of the static nature of the subject majorly. Let's find out more.

The plant I decided to take photographs of is Cassava. This plant can be referred to the King of plants in Nigeria. The reason why is that it has different beneficial offspring including Garri. Before you take in Garri next time, remember that it's from the processing of Cassava. Using it's botanical name, it can be called Manihot spp because of its numerous species. Why I prefer this plant is that it's the most available. In any planting soil, one will notice the growth or cultivation of Cassava.

This plant benefits has gone beyond the beauty aspect rather it's a major source of food. Garri which serves as a food for the poor or rich is derived from Cassava starch. Fufu is also gotten from Cassava and it's starch. So, that's why every farmer can't afford to miss cassava planting in his or her farmland.
Challenges faced when capturing the plant |

I didn't face many challenges while taking several shots of this plant Photography. The issue I had then was the light was sufficient due to the fact that it was raining. I had to experiment with different angles to get the right lighting as well as increasing light intensity from my phone.

While taking a picture, people have to try out different means which is the Zoom in and Zoom out features. In using this feature, I had to experiment with leaves of the cassava as it's the most visible part of the plant.
Zoom out function
During my zoom out function, the camera tends to capture the environment as well as the subject in mind. With this, it makes everywhere look like an autonomous community.
Zoom in function
During the use of this feature, I employed portrait mode which uses 1.5 magnification. The leave was able to be single out from it's community.
