Amicia and Lucas set out to find someone who may know how to cure Hugo from the Macula. While on their adventure, the 2 get chased by enemies. Amicia goes rogue on the guards coming after her out of rage despite Lucas' pleas not to kill them. The 2 get captured as a result. Amicia meets the guy who Beatrice told her about. He informs her that Hugo is dying. In denial, Amicia hopes the island Hugo saw in his dream will cure him. Amicia learns when Hugo is emotional or scared, he will summon a horde of rats.
