Played this Game After a Decade ! - Age of Empires

Dear Friends,

Age of Empires is not a modern game. Actually it's a vintage strategy game. I used to play this game in my school time and the first one I found is the Age of Empires Expansion trail. And used to play multi-player mode with my university friends sometimes but it was not the trending game at that period. It was COD ( Call of the Duty ) which we used to play dedicating our sleep. Coming back to story , today was a free day for me without any pre scheduled work. So I wanted to play this game for a while and I was able to download if free from igg-games. I installed it within few minutes and here we go. I wanted to complete a campaign task selecting the hardest mode. So I selected no 4 " The rising". The objective was very clear and simple at the start.

I must say that I love the interface of this game. It gives me a medieval period feeling , the true period of great warriors. So let's look at the play. Normally it starts giving us clear objectives and when you complete it all the enemies are defeated. It's victory !

At first the objective given was very simple. I had just to travel for a given destination with my troops. But had to kill around British 10 swordsman's and 5 crossbowman's to reach the given location. That can be achieved by using only my cavalry without loosing a single soldier. That step was too simple.

After reaching the given location I was given a town center and people. So I can start building my city and develop my technologies. But it was not easy as enemies started to attack continuously using their Cavalry and Pickman's. So I had to take decisions to improve the strength of my hometown. Best way is to build castles which have more attacking ability compared to watch towers.

Then I created a castle at the river bank with a plan to strength my Naval forces and to collect food by fishing. So I can give protection to the harbor with the castle. But it was not easy as enemies were attacking using cavalry and also ships.

I just focused on collecting stones and building castles as I was not able to face these attacks. I was able to build 3 castles in a quick time and town was little bit stable after that. But attacks were getting harder and harder.

It took around 40 minutes to play up to this point and I saved the game for tomorrow. I will share my progress with you tomorrow. I think there are lot of games who love this game. Old is Gold. Good Bye Guys ! Stay Safe!
