If there is one thing Second Life does really well, it would be providing an enormous number of ways in which to customise your look. With that in mind, I set a challenge: Can i put together an outfit inspired by the look of Resident Evil: Village’s antagonist Lady Dimitrescu?
Given that there are thousands of stores you can potentially visit, it really helps to have a guide who can narrow down the search, and I know of no person more helpful than my own dear Jamie. When I said I needed to buy a hat, she surprised me by suggesting we go to ‘Truth’.
I have been to this store quite a few times, because you can get some great hairstyles here. But, I did not know they have hats as well, But what do you know, some of the hairstyles came with hats, and Jamie came up trumps by directing me to a hat that looked similar to the style worn by Lady Dimitrescu.
So, hat acquired, it was time to find a suitable dress. I knew it had to be an elegant dress that a lady would wear, so that ruled out the stores that provide beachwear, cocktail dresses or the sort of gear you would wear to an S/M party (although who knows what Lady D gets up to after dark??). Jamie took me to Kathleen’s store, and even though there were hundreds of outfits to choose from, once again she quickly homed in on a dress that looked similar to the outfit worn by Lady D.
Back home it was time to put the outfit together. Now, I should point out that my aim was not to put together a look that was exactly like that of Lady Dimitrescu, but rather one that was merely inspired by her look. Her dress is a sort of peach color but I decided to make mine red, because my hair is black and red is a colour that really complements red hair, at least I think so. As for the hat, we tried various alternatives. Jamie reckoned red with a black stripe worked best.
So, what do you think of the final look??
It looks awesome! I do like the black hair / red outfit thing too. The glasses add to the look as well. Great job!
