Hello game lovers
Today I bring to you a review of just cause 3
source
I have invested hundreds of hours into it and would say I have a pretty good understanding on this game. And trust me, for a low budget cheap game produced by a small company, it is an absolute joy to not only play but just experience
You play as Rico Rodriguez in the third sequel to this franchise, who ventures back to his home country of Medici to assist a revolution against a brutal dictator whose has redesigned the region in favour of a war threatening military. The dictator in hand, Sebastian Di Ravello has discovered a valuable resource in his country called Bavarium, rebound for its highly explosive abilities. I won’t spoil it, but you venture into the lands, retaking it settlement by settlement and soon provide yourself as a valuable asset to the rebel forces.
Let’s talk about the pros of this game. The Graphics are outstanding for a game of its time, the vibrant colours and hues of the area really remind the player of a region in the south of Europe. The amazing terrain is backed by the ambient soundtrack that adapts itself with the situation that you are in. This game really feels complete with the vast array of side missions and encounters, gear mods and collectibles, and all of the vehicles that you can discover and use at your own free will with the clever idea of the rebel drop. The map is littered with great terrain and features that the player can experiment with, and the controls feel both realistic and snappy, for all the low price of 13 pounds.
However this game has its flaws as well. The way the game makes you take over the entire map is sluggish and boring at times, there is not much experimentation with how it is done and you sort of feel like you are just repeating the same process each time. The gear mod challenges are fun, but incredibly frustrating for the people wish completely finish the game. The game does have its fair share of bugs furthermore. However, these burdens are overshadowed by the sheerly woeful story. It set itself up to be good at the start, but nothing felt finished nor did it actually make sense. There is not nearly enough missions, many of them just do the same thing. There is no detail or refinement on this front, truly shocking from the devs
To conclude, Sure this game has a mediocre story and doesn’t invest itself too much in the characters, but this game wasn’t designed to do that. Square Enix have never been a huge company, they simply design games for easy, maybe even trashy enjoyment, and that’s what I love about this game
