Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, should you buy?

Known as the worlds best tactical shooter released in 2015, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege has made history for esports as well as the gaming community itself.

Rainbow Six Siege first featured some insanely new and well developed mechanics such as breaking holes in walls to kill people and the destructibility of the game overall. These mechanics would lead to the first start of it all when Rainbow Six Siege was in its prime time. This gained traction over the years gaining many, many players. The highest the player count was in operation Ember Rise. Although its been declining ever since. Well its time to talk about that. To cut straight to the point, Rainbow Six Siege has lost 40,000 active players in the span of 4 months.

As you can see from the statistics, many players are leaving the Rainbow Six Siege community, including pro players such as Modigga. But why is that? Well lets start off with the Rainbow Six dev team. The original dev team was swapped out with a new one and that dev team kept on repeating mistakes made by the original. For example buffing an operator in the same way as before lead to an outburst from everyone. For those who don't know an operator is a playable character in game with a unique ability. Pro players have even called out Ubisoft ( The creators of the game) for not fixing it at all but instead adding new things to the game. Instead of actually creating a solution to the problems in the game they added new things such as new scopes, colorblind mode, and an all new ping system. Sure, this could be of some use towards newer audiences to the game, but to pros its basically adding nothing. They want glitches and balancing changes fixed but it seems that Ubisoft has been ignoring them for a while now. Players have been leaving and Siege is losing its magic it first had a long time ago. As a person with over 1000 hours on the game, I don't recommend buying it anymore. If you want more details on why the game is losing a lot of popularity and whats wrong with it, please go visit G2 Pengu on youtube where he has a 2 hour long video on why Rainbow Six Siege needs fixing. Pengu is a ex-pro player for Rainbow Six Siege. Overall back in 2017-2019 the game would be a 10/10 now though it is slowly dying and I really hope changes can be made but for now I do not recommend wasting your money on a glitchy buggy game that devs don't even care about anymore.
