Hello animal lovers,
Bangladesh has a temperate climate which is a suitable country for living and animals. At one time, a large number of different animals could be seen in our country and they used to move and breed without fear. Climate change or human behavior has had an adverse effect on the environment, especially the animal world. At one time, we saw many turtles coming out of our country's agricultural lands during the rainy season, although I do not know about their species. Now the number of turtles in our area has come down to zero.

The number of turtles cannot be specified, but turtles are no longer on the list of endangered animals. In our country, turtles are now found only in coastal areas and large rivers, although their number is very small. Since areas where turtles are found are tourist areas in our country, turtles are in even more danger. I read positive news in the newspaper that these areas were closed to tourism during the Corona pandemic, but after Corona, a more critical situation has arisen. Especially sea turtles.

One of the reasons for the destruction of turtles is the habitat crisis and being caught in the nets of poaching and smuggling fishermen, and the decrease in reproduction are the main reasons why turtles are endangered. In our country, awareness has not yet been created among everyone who can work to protect wildlife. Our first failure is not being able to create a safe habitat and breeding environment for animals. When we go to the sea, throwing polythene into the sea and behaving in a way that causes loss of life to animals, we are leading to the destruction of our wildlife. We need to create awareness and be more strict in legal action so that other animals, including endangered animals, are not endangered.

Law is an official matter if it is not implemented in practice. Law cannot function by itself, law has to be implemented. In our country, there is a law for every work but its implementation is weak. As a result, people are behaving like this with animals. According to the Animal Welfare Act 2019 of Bangladesh, killing, trafficking, keeping wild animals as pets or being caught for any other work will be considered a crime. If such a crime is committed by any person, he can be punished with imprisonment or fine for different periods or both according to different sections.

Let's be aware of preserving animal diversity and make others aware. I invite you @mahadisalim @jollymonoara @azwar82 to participate in this competition.
