Studies have shown that humans first domesticated dogs for hunting and companionship around 1500 years ago.Dogs understand the concept of time well.They come to beg for food at times and may wake you up at the same time.they can even sense whether you've been out for a long time or a short time.

Studies have shown that training dogs can detect asthma and some types of cancer.With their keen sense of smell they can detect the presence of disease from body odor. dogs eyes have a reflective layer called the tapetum lucidum which helps them see well in the dark. why dogs can see clearly even in low light. once a dog recognizes a scent it can remember it for years. this ability is very useful for them especially in police or rescue work.
