Hello, steemians! How are you today? I hope you are as fine as I am. I am glad to participate in this week's contest titled: ||Contest|| "My Art My Creativity Week 13. I appreciate @shahariar1 and the Steem of Animals for organising this contest. This week I shall be drawing a Butterfly and I hope you will appreciate my drawing.

What is a butterfly
The butterfly is a flying insect with large coloured wings and a small body. They are found almost everywhere, especially in warm climates. Butterflies have a short life span. They live for about one week or two but some species live for months and then die. They feed mostly on fruits like pears, bananas etc.

Importance of butterfly
They serve as an agent of pollination
They serve as food to other animals like lizards, birds etc.

NOW MY DRAWING

Materials used for drawing

• Plain A4 paper
• Pencils
• Eraser
• Sharpener
• Colours

Step 1
I started my drawing from the wings of the butterfly. I drew the forewings and the hindwings on the right-hand side and then repeat the same process on the left-hand side

Step 2
I drew the body of the butterfly. I began with the head, thorax and then the abdomen.

Step 3
I began colouring the forewings of the right of the right hand side using pencil, red and orange colour

Step 4
I coloured the hind wings of the right-hand side using pencil, red, orange and yellow colour

Step 5
I coloured the hind wings of the left-hand side using pencil red, orange and yellow colour

Step 6
I coloured the forewings of the left-hand side.

Step 7
I applied a 12B pencil at the forewings of the left-hand side to beautify it.

Step 8
I used a 12B pencil at the hind wings of the left-hand side

Step 9
I used a 12B pencil at the forewings of the right-hand side.

Step 10
I used a 12B pencil at the hind wings of the right-hand side

Step 11
I coloured the thorax and abdomen of the butterfly using my 12B pencil

Step 12
I coloured the head of the butterfly using my 12B pencil and finally, I drew the antenna of the butterfly
