How are you today fellow steemians? I hope you are all fine as I am. Today I drew a Camel and I want to show you the step-by-step process of my drawing. My special appreciation goes to @shahariar1 for organising and sustaining this contest in the Steem for Animal Community. I do hope that you will like it.

What is Camel?
This is a very big hoofed mammal that is mostly found in the desert. It has a long neck, long legs, broad feet and humps.

Fact about Camel

  • It is well adapted to survive in the desert.
  • It can live for long periods without drinking water.
  • It can live for long periods without food.
  • Camel produces milk that is rich in nutrients
  • Camels can live for up to 50 years.
  • Newborn camels are called calves.
  • They are social animals.
  • Camels can carry up to 200 pounds of weight easily.
  • There are two species of camel, the one with one hump and the one with two humps.

Benefit/Importance of Camel to man

  • They serve as a means of transportation.
  • Source of meat and milk.
  • The skin of camels is used for producing carpets, ropes etc.
  • Camel dung is also used as fuel. It is used for making fire.

Now My Drawing Process/Steps.

Material used for the drawing

  • Plain A4 paper
  • Pencil
  • Eraser
  • Sharpener

Step 1
I began my drawing from the head of the Camel. On the head, I drew the mouth, nostrils, ear, eyes and long neck.

Step 2
In the second step, I drew the back of the camel and its back contain a fat-filled hump.

Step 3
I drew the two front legs of the camel and its stomach. The legs have two-toed feet with thick leathery pads to stop them from sinking in the sand.

Step 4
I drew the hind legs and the tail of the Camel.

Step 5
Here I shaded the the eye, the face, neck and front legs of the Camel. The neck has thick shaggy fur and the knees have leathery paches.

Step 6
At this step, I shaded the stomach and the back of the camel including its hump. I also shaded the hind legs and tail of the Camel.
