"SEC-S18/W2 | Lushka, you will be missed!"

Steem greetings all the way from the motherland-Cameroon to all friends of the Steem for Animals community. It is a privilege for me to share my ideas based on the topic “Lushka, you will be missed!"

Growing up as a kid, my dad had a dog which was like a companion to every family member. The dog was so friendly to the extent that people started playing around with him because he was jovial with everyone.

We called the dog “Rambo” because he was also a fighter. No one could come to our house and querelle my mom or dad. I don’t know how he differentiates between querelle or soft spoken words. But all I know was that he reacts violently towards anyone that talks with a harsh tone.

My mom used to allow my kid sister at home with Rambo and will tell him to look after the baby and you will see him accepted by waving the tail. You could wash him feeling sad when the baby was crying.

Rambo used to alert us whenever a criminal comes around the house. He will start to woof and woof, barked and barked until he makes sure that the criminal disappeared.

Notwithstanding, my elder sister did not like pets around the house and could do anything to send them away. One day, my dad and mom traveled and my elder sister started starving the dog.

She stopped us from giving food to the dog and the dog felt sick. As if that was not enough, she took food one day wrapped a full hot Cameroon chilies and a stone inside the food and through it up towards the dog. He jumped and grabbed the food with all the appetite to eat. Unfortunately, the stone and hot chilies were unbearable to the dog. He salivated for several hours in pain.

He ran out of the house and left in pains for almost two weeks. My elder sister was happy that she succeeded to send away the pet. When my dad and mom returned back home, they could not find Rambo. My parents were so sad and one day, one Neighbour came knocking our door that she found the dog in a bush in pains.

We immediately rush to the location just to find out that Rambo was dead. My sister could not forgive herself because her intention was not to kill the dog but send the pet away to meet another owner. We all were so heartbroken 💔 and will forever missed those moments he will stand up to defend us and protect us from any danger. “Rambo” , we still missed you till date.
