Keeping cats as pets is a good thing. But currently now, I can't keep cats as pets. It was when I was ten years that I had a cat which I later sold out of my mum's reference. In my country Nigeria, people don't like keeping cats as pets but rather prefer to keep dogs. Cats have strong personalities and they most share a common trait. According to scientists, cats can improve one's health and mental well-being. But for me, I don't think so because I once had a cat as a pet but I saw a different thing althogether.
Do you think Cats are unconditional friends? Give your reasons!
Yeah.. Cats are a good source of companionship, source of entertainment, diligent, etc. When I had a cat pet, I was ten. If I wanna go errand for my mum then, my little cat will follow me and we go. They are good friends when it comes to purring and training them. When I feel depressed or sad, my cat will come and react atfectionely. One good thing I love about cats is that they don't have problems and they just accept us just they way we are no matter how bad we feel.
What is your understanding and effort regarding animal welfare for cats?
In my knowledge, I would say that the welfare and training of a cat isn't that expensive. We should care about animals health and welfare. People in my community does not really care about the well being of cats, rather the prefer to contribute to the welfare of dogs or any other animal pet. My efforts and contribution seems to no avail due to the way things are moving on in my country about cats.

Are there myths that develop in your community about cats
In my country Nigeria now, there have been a lot of ancient story about cats . During the olden days, the days of our forefathers they regarded cats as witches, and they are evil. Even presently now, people in my community still see cats as evil agents. People have said alot about cats and how they started regarding them as evil agents devices. The main reason why my mum stopped me from making cats as pets is because of these evils talks about it.
