Our country, Tunisia, went through a very sensitive political period after the dissolution of Parliament. The need for a referendum to change electoral laws emerged as a crucial step out of this dark tunnel. Faced with this situation, I felt the need to act as an activist to help save our country. In response to this call, I actively participated as an electoral member in my region. Here is a detailed account of these memorable moments, from training to the close of voting.

Activities began with a two-day training period for polling station staff. This training was essential to ensure that each member fully understood their role and the procedures to follow. We were instructed on the organization of polling stations, the different stages of the electoral process, and the measures to take to guarantee the transparency and integrity of the vote. This training made me feel prepared and confident for the tasks ahead.

On Election Day, we started early by organizing election materials and preparing the room. The room diagram showed the arrangement of desks and chairs, as well as the various elements needed for voting. It was crucial to arrange all elements in an orderly manner to ensure an efficient flow of voters. Each voting table was equipped with pens, ink pads, ballots and registers to register voters.

Voters were welcomed as soon as the polling stations opened. Each voter received a ballot and was guided through the voting process. As an electoral officer, my role was to verify voters' identities, provide them with ballots, and ensure they voted confidentially and securely. Following procedures was essential to ensure that every vote was counted correctly and transparently.

At the end of the voting day, ballots were carefully counted and placed in sealed ballot boxes to ensure the integrity of the process. This crucial step ensured that every vote was counted transparently. We followed a strict procedure for counting and sealing the ballots, documenting each step to ensure traceability. This closing process took several hours, but was essential to ensure that the referendum result accurately reflected the will of voters.

Throughout the day, the electoral team worked with dedication and solidarity. The image of the electoral team, united by a feeling of duty and solidarity, proudly brandishing the Tunisian flag, symbolizes our commitment to our country. This moment marked the end of a long but rewarding day, dedicated to ensuring a fair and transparent electoral process. Each member of the team contributed diligently, and we all felt a deep pride in having fulfilled our civic duty.

Participating in this referendum has been a deeply gratifying experience. As a member of the polling station, I was able to see up close the importance of each vote and the desire of the population to contribute to a better future for our country. It is with pride that I share these significant moments, hoping that our efforts will contribute to a more just and democratic Tunisia. Looking back, I am convinced that our work during this referendum laid the foundations for a future where the voice of every citizen counts.
