Hello my friends, how are you all? I hope you are all well. I am also well, Alhamdulillah. Friends, today I will discuss with you a very beautiful and useful vine flower. I hope you like it. Let's start.

There are many names of Madhabi or Madhabilata- Mandapa, Kami, Pushpendra, Abhishtagandhak, Atimukta, Bimukta, Kamuk and Bhramarotsava. Madhavi's scientific name is Hiptage benghalensis (L.) Kurz., Family Malpighiaceae. These names are used to express Madhavi's thoughts and are full of poetry. At one time Madhabilata was found in abundance in Pundrak country i.e. Mymensingh. Another name for this is Pundrak.

  • Description

Madhavi is an arboreal creeper and long-lived. The stalks become smaller and bushy. In this way, when it is perennial, the root vine gradually becomes quite thick. The stalks have to be cut every two or three years, then as the vine grows, new stalks sprout and flowers bloom more. The bark of its thick stalks is matte in color, the inner wood is reddish and hard. The leaves are retrograde, oblong, with a narrow apex at the apex, usually 4 to 6 inches long. Much like the leaves of a pressed flower. Madhabi is planted with care for the decoration of the garden. However, this creeper is now almost extinct.

Madhavi's flowers are in clusters and the arrangement is harmonious. The buds are filled with fine hairs. The flowers are white, with five petals and the base of the fifth petal is yellow. The flowers look like sesame flowers and are very fragrant. Spring and summer are the flowering seasons but sometimes bloom until the rainy season. From the flower comes the fruit, the seeds are 2/3 and it is hairy.

Madhabi also grows carelessly, seedlings are made from seeds, seedlings can be obtained even if the branches are cut and buried in the ground. Madhabi leaves are eaten by cows and goats. [3
