PEOPLE, THEIR INVENTIONS IN TECHNOLOGY AND THEIR USES

There are so many people who have invented and improved technology and is of a lot of help to us today, o would like to lost some of them and explain their uses.

1. The World Wide Web(WWW) which was invented by Tim Berners and Robert Cailliau


What is the World Wide Web?

This is defined as an information system on the internet that allows the interconnection of public webpages,making it easier for the user to search for information by moving from a particular document to another.
In a simple way it is defined as a network of computers that shares information and allows a free flow of communication around the world.


Uses of the World Wide Web

Some of the uses of the World Wide Web is:

It aids in Marketing and Advertising.
It is an easy source for research
It makes communication easy, with the help of Emails.
Learning is easier.
It helps the government to maintain law and order since they can make announcements publicly.

2. The radio invented by Guglielmo Marconi in 1895.


What is a Radio

It is a sound communication system by radio waves which is usually the transmission of music, news and many other programs for a podcast stations to several individual who have radio received.
Radio is more about companionship and the relationship with the listeners.


Advantages of the Radio

It covers a large amount of people
It is an easy way of spreading information
It is very cheap compared to the TV.


Disadvantages of the Radio

It can be difficult to get correct signals from a radio station
During bad weather the radio is not properly audible.
It is only audio and no visuals.

3. The telephone which was invented by Alexander Graham Bell.


What is a Telephone

A telephone is a system for transmitting voices over a long distance using either a wire or a radio.
The are very simple to operate and it offers a fast type of communication.
The telephone allowed people to talk about business or to negotiate contacts faster and efficiently.


Uses of the Telephone

It is used in necessary office communication
It is used in the process of buying and selling of goods and mostly services..
It helps in offering support and direct calls.
It is used in case of emergency calls.
When recruiting employees ot is used
It is used for group calls
It is used on research activities.
