Little head with unknown possibilities.

I have seen people without hands, people without legs, people without eyes alive,hearlty and strong,but never have I seen anyone without head.what is so special about The head?
It is well defined that the Head is the upper part of the human body, or the front or upper part of the body of an animal, typically separated from the rest of the body by a neck, and containing the brain, mouth, and sense organs. But that doesn't explain how much valueable the head is, leaving me with the question what are the unknown possibilities in the head.
