The Diary Game 01.11.21 || Finally, I'm vaccinated! COVID - go to hell! || #club5050

At last! After an incredibly long time, I finally got my first dose of the Covid vaccine.

Why so late?

Photo by @papi.mati - with document confirming I'm vaccinated

I wanted to get vaccinated since it was announced that there was a vaccine, but unfortunately, as an immigrant, I did not have this opportunity. In Argentina, only people with DNI had the access to the vaccine. Although I submitted all documents to the appropriate office already two years ago and they have initially approved it, although I was legally staying in Argentina legally, I did not have a DNI document ... I called the hotline several times trying to find a solution to this unusual situation, but each time I was sent back with nothing.

The rules are not the same in all of Argentina. They differ between regions, thanks to which my Polish friend in the Mendoza region was able to vaccinate herself freely. But what if other regions offered vaccines to foreigners since just to move between them you had to… have a vaccination certificate! Yes, to go vaccinated, I would have to be vaccinated ...

What changed?

Argentina is currently dealing with COVID quite well. 75% of people took the first dose of the vaccine, over 52% both. There are about 1,500 cases per day for 40 million inhabitants in the country. This is much better than in my home country, Poland, where conspiracy theories are quite common and vaccination with the first dose did not exceed 52% despite 7,500 new cases a day with 38 million inhabitants.

Photo by @papi.mati - my husband got vaccinated the very same day. We had to rest a bit right after as we felt quite weak

Due to the fact that Argentine society has a large supply of vaccines, a few days ago the president of the country announced the opening of special vaccination points at the state borders and vaccination assistance to neighboring countries. He rightly emphasized that in a pandemic, national borders are not important, and it is our common duty that all humanity be immune from the virus.

Hearing these words, I felt that it would be too absurd if I were still refused vaccination, even though I have been in the country for two years. I called the hotline one more time and as expected, this time I was allowed to come just with my passport.

Everything went very smoothly, the atmosphere was nice, with short waiting times and a visit for the second dose planned in a month. Pure pleasure!

I got the "Sputnik" vaccine. There are three types in the country (Astra Zeneca, Sputnik, and Sinopharm), but you cannot choose which one you want. You have to take the one that is available at the moment. From my point of view, the effectiveness of all of them is good enough, but ... a vaccine, unfortunately, is not only a drug but also a policy. Being vaccinated with the Chinese vaccine, I would not be able to travel to Europe, with European - I would not be able to travel to China et cetera...

Of course, the most important thing for me was to be able to enter the European Union and visit my family without additional quarantine. Sputnik does not give me this opportunity, but I know that the European Parliament is debating the release of the Russian vaccine into circulation, so maybe my problems will be solved before the second dose.

My response to the vaccine was pretty good. Immediately after the injection, I felt quite faint and sleepy. I slept for a few extra hours after I got home, but now, in the evening, I'm in full strength.

Espero no sea tu caso. Feliz noche

Hello my dear Matteuz, I am happy to know that you were able to get vaccinated already, now you are ready for the summer vacations, you will be able to travel all over the south as you wished and also in the Capital. A hug my dear fellow.

Our meeting for a coffee is getting more and more possible ;) thank you for the comment!

I realized my posts did not qualify for #club5050 for three days (shame!) and I didn't even notice that. Sorry for using the tag without being allowed to.

I bought and powered up some steem so now everything should be more than fine :)
