Greeting my dear Steemian friends. Today I am here to participate in a wonderful and important contest on Energy savings. I think this contest organized by the RECREATIVE STEEM community is one of the most important topics of the present time, which is why I came to participate in today's contest with interest. I am really happy to participate in the contest on such an important topic. Now I present it to you in my post on this important topic Energy savings.

What kind of energy do I use daily?

I use electricity, light, heat and mechanical energy daily to run my life. I spend part of the day in the office and rest of the time at home. In this case I use electrical energy in my house and from this electrical energy the light energy is obtained by lighting the electric lights in the house. Similarly, we convert electrical energy into mechanical energy by running the ceiling fan of the house using electricity.

On the other hand, I use an electric stove for cooking, for which I convert electrical energy into thermal energy. In this case, I use only electrical energy for light, heat and mechanical energy which is important for my daily life and these energies have made my quality of life easier.

What do I think about the energy service in my city?

I live in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh and this city has a large population with a large number of motorized vehicles. In that case, if I talk about the fuel used to run the vehicle engine like: diesel, petrol, octane etc. then I will say that we have enough of all these fuels. Because these fuels are imported from foreign countries before they are exhausted, the shortage of these fuels is not seen in our city. But still sometimes the filling stations fail to provide enough fuel for the extra vehicles which is quite normal.

On the other hand, if I refer to the use of gas for cooking or driving, I am a bit disappointed. Basically I am a government employee living in a government house in a government colony in the capital city of Dhaka. In this case, the government has provided gas in our colony as a fuel used for cooking. But sometimes gas problems occur in entire cities including our colonies which make us suffer a lot. If marking is done in this case, I will give 6 marks out of 10 marks in case of gas fuel.

How much do I spend a month on my home energy service?

I spend an average of 3000 BDT or 150 Steem per month for my home energy service. I have already said that electricity is the source of all the energy I use in my home. In that case I spend an average of 3000 BDT or 150 Steem per month for electricity. In my house I use two refrigerators, one oven, one television, two ACs, three ceiling fans, one electric stove, five bulbs and some other electrical appliances which consume a lot of electricity every month. In this case, according to the electricity consumption every month, I have to pay the bill with certain amount mentioned above. But in some months the above mentioned bill is slightly less or more. Because there is no need to run refrigerator or ceiling fan in winter season. In that case I have to spend an average of 2000 BDT 100 Steem for electricity in winter season.

What daily activities should I put in place to conserve energy and guarantee future generations?

There are several things we can do to save energy and guarantee a better future for new generations. I am mentioning below some ways to save energy with examples.

• Increasing the use of solar energy by reducing the use of electricity in the homestead.
• Do not use electric fans, lights or other electronic items unnecessarily.
• Walking instead of motor vehicle for commuting from home to neighborhood.
• Reduce the use of gas in cooking and use natural fuel to cook in clay ovens.
• Reducing the use of fossil fuels in various sectors except where there is excess need. etc.

Do I think a single person's contribution can do much for the planet?

I definitely think that a single person's contribution can do a lot for the planet. Because when I am aware myself I can help others to be aware. First we need to make ourselves aware of energy wastage and then motivate others to prevent energy wastage. According to today's topic, all the mentioned energies have made the normal life of people easier, so we should prevent these energies from being wasted.

In other cases we find that black smoke produced by combustion of fossil fuels used in vehicles is polluting the environment. So we should cross paths on foot except on long roads. In this way, our body will be healthy, we will be able to prevent the wastage of fossil fuels and we will be able to keep our environment healthy. So I think that by taking a single initiative we can do a lot on this planet that will benefit me and the other species on the planet.
