Thus, if a gamer has downloaded the previous Epic game, but has deleted it from the iPhone or iPad, then the gamer will no longer be able to download the game again.

In a statement made by Apple as quoted by Ubergizmo , "We are disappointed that we have ended the Epic Games account on the App Store. We worked with the team at Epic Games for many years on their launch and release".

The company further said the court recommended Epic to comply with App Store guidelines while their case progressed. "Guidelines they followed for the last decade until they created this situation," he said.

The company added, "Epic has refused. Instead, they repeatedly send out Fortnite updates designed to violate the App Store guidelines. It's unfair to all the other developers on the App Store and puts customers in the middle of their fight".

"We hope to work together again in the future, but unfortunately it is not possible today," he explained.

Apple previously stated that they would happily allow Fortnite to return to the App Store if Epic only complied with the rules, but it appears Epic is adamant about keeping their position.
