It’s been some time since the last episode of RAW & UNCENSORED 🎥 where we share with you some content behind-the-scenes of an APPICS meeting.
Finally after a long break due to the global pandemic, we had our first in-person meeting last week and it was great to see everyone again personally and catch up! 🙌
As promised, this video includes a sneak peak at some major news 🔥 namely that we’ve been working on a blockchain solution for APPICS, that will allow us to operate independently from Steem, but at the same time allow our users to decide if they want to cross-post on Steemit, Hive or other social media platforms ❗️
These are super exciting news and an official announcement will follow where we will share details, technical insight, and timelines. ⏰ there will also be a token swap to the new blockchain-based token for our APPICS Mainnet.
We always act with the best interest of our community and the growth of the platform in mind, so we couldn’t rely on an unstable blockchain any longer and setup our own solution. 💪
With the new blockchain, we will be able to have a seamless onboarding process with the ability to create unlimited instant accounts - which is one of the most essential features for global mass adoption. 🌎
Just know that we are very close to the public launch and can’t wait to finally release the official announcement 🤫 and show the World what APPICS is all about! 😁

Regarding point #3. I am on the Hive Engine/Steem Engine team. I am not an official spokesperson, but I can tell you that Steem Engine is not going anywhere. While it is true that we are now supporting the Hive blockchain, Steem Engine created tokens and platform will remain active. You probably won't see any more innovation for Steem Engine, but the ability to operate NFT's and custom tokens on Steem Engine absolutely remains an option and some tokens still have not migrated.

Steem engine is continuing to operate, but on Hive; since they value decentralization and a censorship-resistant blockchain... instead of the centralized CCP private database that is Steem.

Steem Engine is now Hive Engine. Splinterlands have gone to Hive too, as of today.
And it looks like Appics will move soon by the sounds of this.

I'm not so sure about them moving to Hive but as always, they are very ambiguous. They already have a dual token system, one is of course a Steem Engine token but the other is on EOS. We will see what happens I guess!

Hey! Did you update your android app to the latest version? We implemented that functionality a few weeks ago. Otherwise you can also always power up & down by logging in to your Steem account on Steem-Engine.com

Yes, I have the latest version of the app. I've also tried to uninstall and reinstall the app. When I try and power up my appics coins and I slide the dial to %100 it shows the amount as Zero. Are there instructions on how to use the steem engine? I just tried and didn't see any option to power up my token on that platform.

@appics i care for the security of steem blockchain and it's investors and user. I wont appreciate my steem getting wiped into hivedao's pocket. Steem protects it's investors and supports dapps. Few major points. Unlimited accounts creation for newbies. Easy registration and access but secure are the top priorities since i kinda had a hard time doing the walk-through to these newbies i have onboarded. But worth it! Second, the cross posting will give us freedom where we wanted to post our contents is a great thing if we find ourselves being noticed easily, either from steemit or Hive. Third one is yes, the music category would give chance to amazing singers, and musicians to show what they got and offer the world that would make them also stand out just like the popular ones we have.
