When he first heard Darin Olien (@darinolien) on a health podcast, he reached out to him because he was amazed at the knowledge Darin had to share, and so they met up.
Zac said to Darin that he loves his mission and that he wants to do something to help the planet, using his following to make a positive impact.
And so the concept for DOWN TO EARTH was born! 🌿✈️
Not only did Zac’s wish to help save the planet align with Darin’s life mission, but also with APPICS’ vision to improve people’s lives all over the world, give back, and help the environment as well! 💪
It’s so nice to see how a celebrity like Zac is using his influence for a good cause, making his followers aware of current issues like climate change that require urgent action!
There is no time to wait. We can’t continue living wasteful, unsustainable, unhealthy lives. 🚫
This planet is our home and we need to start acting NOW to help it!

Sent a message to an APPICS team member a few days ago talking about the need for APPICS to make a difference by by promoting the work of environmental actors via an environmental action tag on the social network. This is what I wrote “Green greetings Uma, I have been thinking 🤔, on almost every social network there is the main tag 🏷 Nature and/or Environment
Most people use these tags to share the beauty of nature while nature is silently dying and global warming is taking over the planet.
Don’t we think it will be awesome if APPICS made a difference by adding a tag 🏷 #EnvironmentalActions which will be for publication of posts that are aimed at creating a safer, healthier, just and more sustainable planet?
I feel the efforts of environmental activists and change-makers as a whole are not effectively being recognized on social networks and if APPICS were to make a difference, the difference will be clear.
