Why does the time of year have to dictate when I shall feel empathetic towards those in need? This experience has forever changed my perspective on giving. Time and energy is by far more important than any monetary value yet without money in some form none of it is possible. This time of year provokes emotions within deeply rooted in the meaning of Christmas. The concept of giving before consumerism took over.
You give your Heart and Soul to a Cause in what ever form that takes. For me as a veteran baker that comes in form of fresh baked croissants delivered with warm wishes directly to those in need… I have been on the streets… I have hunted for friends on the streets… I do not fear for myself as my fear of another cold and miserable death happening within this world compels me.
