... blood! π©Έπ©Ή It doesn't cost you anything, your body will produce more of it! π
Especially for men, it even makes their blood fresher, because they don't have to produce new blood as frequently as woman (can you guess why?). So it's actually healthy, it gives you a boost! π
If you haven't gone yet, what is keeping you from it? Needles? The time you need to take to go donating? It's a good dare at least to try it out π it's worth it! You even get free food, a coke, a plaster... π©Ή Bring a friend!
Donating blood was one of the few things that made me exited about becoming an adult. π Finally I would be allowed to give blood. Only then I had to wait 4 years until they had ruled out that I didn't have and won't get malaria anymore -cos I lived in Thailand. π Germans are pretty careful π Now was finally my second time! π₯³
I used to donate blood every 3 months before covid. My first time was I had to beg that I am healthy enough to donate blood amid the fact that I am asthmatic. I told the incharge that I dance and I go to gym and I will surely not faint. Luckily, they allowed me and from then on, I start donating blood. It's the least that I can do. My grandma had an operation before and we needed blood. My blood donor card helped us to get 3 bags asap.

What a cool story! Thanks for sharing, I give you a big upvote for that ππ» I know a couple of people who would love to but because they don't weight 50kg or lived in the wrong country they aren't allowed to here in Germany. I'm impressed how you stocked to it and obviously you are fitter and can take more than people think π keep it up, are you allowed to donate again? Even in covid times they need the blood, so here you didn't have to take a break.

That's true! I also experienced that. For my whole college days, I can't donate because my weight was below 50. Super skinny π€π π. Yes, I'm still allowed but the fight is still ongoing here in Ph and the Red Cross' (org where we donate) location is far from my apartment. I had to commute twice. I haven't go out since the quarantine started for the reason that I don't have a quarantine pass and borrowing is not allowed, and also my mom would freak out because asthmatic are very prone to the virus. π Tsk. Before, I was working in a university where red cross would go there every Friday. So it was really convenient. I would love to share with you my first experience. Will look for the video and post it here. π I almost freaked out because I didn't know the needle was big. ππππ

I am a blood donor, organ donor, DKMS registered. That is the least you can give back when you have the blessing of a healthy body. π A great and important message from you, Debby.

Yes it is. How about you, Karen? Would it be difficult to donate out in the country where you live cos the hospitals are so far off?
