A great TEAMbuilding game: a group stands at the shore of a "river" it needs to get ...

... across. They only have a certain amount of mats to get EVERYONE over but as soon as a mat is on the ground without anyone touching it, it gets taken out of the game. So you need to be gentle with teammates that make mistakes and loose the precious mats by just hopping on before the next person steps on their mat. You get it?

At first the team needs to figure out how they want to do it, and in the video you see the most common tactic, building a row. Some groups take more time to come up with this solution.
This year's group of young people doing the Orientation year lost so many mats that they couldn't reach the end line before the mats went out, so they had to part their group and left some behind. When they crossed the finishing line, one of the girls went back with the whole stack of mats and the rest of the boys came along.
They succeeded, but didn't manage to stay together as a team. I remember that my group only succeeded because we took some of us piggyback.

Working out solutions together in their group and involving everyone will be an important skill they hopefully learn in this year.

It's a really fun game and I am exited to witness this group forming a strong bond during the next months.

Ouch, I didn't expect the quality to look sooo bad 🙄 bear with me, gotta clear my phone storage out again 😜

Really cool. I remember a teambuilding but we had ropes for our quest. I think the quality of the video is not your fault, it's something that could be better here on Appics. ☺️ Maybe with telos...we will see.

Thanks for the comment 😁 yeah, there are lots of games involving ropes too 😉 they played one where everybody needs to get over a rope at 1,40 metres without touching it. Also teamwork.

Cool!👍✌️
