... terdays post for the 1st part. My life has seen dramatic changes and experiments just within the last 6 months.
Work - I was luckily able to work from home so cutting down a total of 3 hours a day for community transportation and not to mention the fees involved was great. Turned out the best physical investment I made last year was getting a powerful gaming PC because I could now work from home with it. My home PC is actually a lot stronger than my work iMacs. Work's been great, I've been hitting goals and I can freely go and eat anytime I want.
Games - I started as addicted to gaming as I'd ever been. Essentially catching up on 15 years of missed games. Xbox gamepass was amazing, heaps of steam sales, and a lot of time playing Overwatch. It's all kind of fizzled out now which is good moving forward. One of my only games I thoroughly still enjoy is Overwatch.
Food - This is where I feel I did a big zigzag over the months. Before covid I was eating in a 4 hour period (intermittent fasting) and mainly eating meat & vegetables. Once I started working from home, I slowly incorporated carbs again (mainly rice, bread, and potato chips). Then came the sugar rush. I was eating processed sugar a lot. Finally I started eating whenever I wanted to (sometimes after midnight). My body started craving food all the time, I noticed I was tired 24/7. Eventually dialed it back and now I'm eating again within a 4-6 hour period and little to no processed sugar.
Sleep - I went from waking up energized, to super tired, to not being able to sleep until 4am - then sleeping at 10pm. Now I'm back to more a hybrid style where I sleep after midnight and takes naps if needed after my work is done.
Social Life - Hah, lockdown life. Can't leave more than 5km from my house. Almost non existent and haven't even bothered swiping on Tinder. I'm enjoying this small patch of time where all my time and money is going to myself.
Investments - Started the period strong with investing in stocks. Due to the volatile nature of crypto, I had really lost all hope for it. Then the steem/hive hardfork happened. I had extra steem and started to re-invest into Splinterlands and Appics. Finally reaching a 100k Appics Voting Power a few weeks ago. I also lost faith in how slow stocks were going and the bad dividends it would yield at this time. So I found a new platform/game called dcity on hive. It's been really fun and very logical/mathematical so there's very little RNG which I like.
So that's a little summary into my life for this year so far. Been one hell of a ride. If you made it this far - thanks! Let me know how your life is going this year. Like give my a legit comment and I'll give you a legit upvote. plz and thnkz.
It is very interesting to read how you have been so far this year. I continue to go to the office, but only 2 people are allowed in each office. I have to wear a mask everywhere except in front of my Computer. Yesterday in Germany there were restrictions again. The restaurants have a curfew from 10 p.m. You are not allowed to meet more than 10 people at private events. But The museums and fitness studios are open. Next week there will even be a trade fair in Nuremberg 🤯 in Germany there are different regulations depending on the federal state - it's all very confusing. Until recently, people from Berlin were not allowed to stay over night in hotels because it was a risk area.
Summarized. My job is safe. I can eat at restaurants and exercise. Travel and other events are further canceled. All in all, I'm fine ... but I would love to go dancing again. 💃🏼 I'm thankful that it does not hit me as hard as some others 🙏☹️

Enjoy the freedom while you can. Australia did ha e it tough because we were in winter. And you're about to enter winter which becomes a strange thing. Do I have the flu or covid? Australia has 0 deaths by flu this winter. How weird, right? Haha

My gosh... 3 hours of commune services. This actually reminded me when I was using public transport.
I must say I am blessed enough that despite of the epidemic spread currently up to 207 infected in my district, we are still allowed to work cross district provided with work pass and company letter.
So I got some "fresh air" out of the house from my elderly parents and they can chill at my home with all the drama shows as loudly as they want (because they can't hear as well as before) and I don't need to work on my room all the time.
Then again, wow that picture of yours is the difference between before and after strict lock down?
How's Melbourne at the moment?

People are getting fed up with the restrictions. But a big announcement comes in 2 days about the easing of restrictions. Good to hear you're hanging in there. November gonna be strange without a steemfest this year.

Hello there, we have had a small chit-chat about what's happening there with your work. I kinda envy you coz you are working at home. I could have done that also but will start all over again with a different company. Right now, suffering from expensive grab rides as I really don't want to ride a transpo where I would get immersed with a lot of people that's impossible to do social Distancing. There would be wins and losses with the kind of life were having but let's just make the most of our edge towards whatever we could gain into this situation. Let's go for it!

I think if it wasn't for my ability to adapt quickly to situations, I'd mentally be in a rut. Hopefully you and I will be right to go for summer time 🤟

Yep. Think over 100 days now. Even with the last 2 days we had 2 and 1 new covid cases. The oppression is real
