This is an extremely wonderful and important article that is worth considering for people of all ages.

Swedish sociologist "Peer-Johansson", who taught sociology at Stockholm University, wrote an article after his retirement in the light of his personal experiences entitled: "The End of Age".

He wrote:

"Until yesterday I was a small child, and today the question in my mind is where did those years go? I know I lived those years and I remember some glimpses of my hopes and dreams, but suddenly I discovered that I was in the last quarter of my life and this discovery was a surprise to me.

Where did all those years go? When, how and where did my youth go? How many elders have I met in my life? And how many thought that their old age is far away from me? When I was in the first part of life, then the last part of life seemed so far away that I could not even imagine it.

But... now that last part has knocked on my door, robbed me of my youth. My friends are retired and old, they move slowly, their hearing is impaired, and it is difficult to understand. Some are better than me and some are worse, but I see great changes in them. These are not the people I used to know.

Now we are the same people (elderly) whom we used to see and never thought that we would become like them.

Today, I'm realizing the fact that daily tasks like bathing have become an important goal for me, and afternoon naps are no longer optional, but mandatory! If I don't take a nap of my own accord, I'll fall asleep right where I'm sitting.

In the same way I entered a new season of my life, unprepared for it, neither for the pains and sufferings that have now become part of me, nor for the desires I wanted to fulfill but never did. could do

How many things I regret that I did, and how many things I should have done but didn't. But I have also discovered that there are certain things that I enjoy doing.

So... if you haven't reached the end of your life yet, I want to remind you that that time will come sooner than you think. So whatever you want to achieve in life, do it now...do it today...do it now. Live today to the fullest, enjoy your day, do something fun, be happy. Remember, "health" is the real wealth, not gold, diamonds and palaces.

A few things to keep in mind:

• Getting out of the house is good, but coming back is even better. • Forget the name, it's okay, because some people have forgotten they even know you. • Things you used to do are no longer your priority. • Watching TV on the couch or chair will make you sleepy, and that sleep will be better than sleeping in bed. • You will use short words, such as: yes, no, what? when • You will regret looking through the clothes in your closet, because more than half of the clothes you will never wear. • Old things, like old songs, movies, old memories, and especially old friends, will become more important in your life than before.
