... season, i came across some forests here in the alps, that are a dream for any chef. i shot this photo early in, during this year's picking season. a few weeks ago. Apart from porcini and other known ones, there are little known edible mushrooms from the Lyophyllaceae genus and many more that taste delicious too. So many to pick, just the beginning and so much more to learn... So many edible ones aren't being picked, because many don't know if the ones they see are actually edible. in some undiscovered spots in denser forests one can still find uncharted paths that mycelium takes. Usually mushrooms regularly get picked pretty quickly.
