MECHANISM OF TOUCH
Whenever, there is a contact in the body here is the overall activities that occur
Mechanoreceptors, nociceptors(temperature, touch and pain receptors respectively) on the surface of the skin takes the touch sensed or felt to the Spinal Cord.👌
These information reaches the spinal cord and is carried duly to the brainstem through pathways,...either laterally or medially✌
From the brainstem it reaches the cerebrum in the brain which is the seat of intelligence.👏
The brain sends responds and if is a pricking pain, like needle prick....There is a sharp withdrawal reflex...to move away from the pain😄.

Sensation is very vital in temperature, feeling when to leave an environment due to heat or get suited up due to cold.
Lets not forget sense of smell too, it is very vital to perceive danger such as smokers around the block, teargas, and other harmful hazards around.
