Steemit is a new social media platform that seems to be gaining momentum and tons of traction. As you are reading my post on steemit you know some of it already, the basic premise is that it's like Reddit where users vote on content and can earn digital currency in return for comments or posts they make on the site.
The currency is called Steem and it's open source, traded and alternative currency.

While there are other crypto currency projects such as Bitcoin and Ethereum the community of Steemit users (and by extension, Steemit) has quickly become a very interesting place for cryptocurrency enthusiasts to share ideas. I myself am quite involved in the cryptocurrency world and love to talk about all things related to blockchain technology, digital currency market pricing and mining and so on. I'm not going to talk about the currency here, I may do a post about currency trading soon, but if you want to know more about currency trading then Steemit has a very active currency trading forum. Instead I'm going to focus on the community contributions aspect of Steemit, which makes it a social media platform where users can join and start earning currency from their posts and comment within minutes. I'm going to share some amazing projects on Steemit I've found recently and how they're helping users earn free STEEM.
I first discovered Steemit a few weeks back, it's difficult to pin down exactly when, but I'd say it was around August 2021. Since then I've recommended the website to multiple friends who are cryptocurrency enthusiast who are now involved in the platform as well. This post is about how these individuals are earning money through Steemit. It's not likely that it will be sustainable for all of them, but overall you can see the amount of engagement these individuals have for this project and others like it can be quite high.
I want to preface this by saying that you shouldn't expect to get rich off of Steemit, these are ways for people to earn some free currency, if anything the fact that they can get free currency is itself a valuable tool for them. If you want to make money faster then it's probably not the project for you. It may however be a way to increase your social media presence, start building relationships with other users on the site and improve your presence online in general. I'd say that the one thing I've noticed is that none of these individuals actually asked me directly about their projects, instead they just went ahead and started posting about it on Steemit using their account.
