Hii friends
Today I am presenting about a special person. His name is William Shakespeare.
William Shakespeare was born in 1564 in Strafford. His father, John Shakespeare, was a fairly wealthy merchant. His mother was Mary Arden and she came from a normal family.
From the age of six, Shakespeare attended the Big School. He dropped out of school at the age of 13 due to his father's business failure.
At the age of 18, on November 27, 1582, Shakespeare married Anne Hathaway, the daughter of a farmer in the village of Shottery in Strafford. They had three children. They then moved to London. Drama was very popular in the city of London at that time and various plays were performed.
In 1594, Lord Chamberlain's troupe, the Lord Chamberlain, was formed. That play was a very popular group play. Shakespeare joined it as an actor. Shakespeare remained a member of the play until his death.
In the 16th - 17th centuries, the English gave priority to Latin. But Shakespeare wrote the play in his own language. Shakespeare's play is roughly divided into three parts. That is, tragedy, euphoria, and history.
- Tragic Drama - Romeo and Juliet, Julius Caesar, Hamlet, Othello, King Lear, Macbeth, Anthony and Cleopatra, Coriolinus, Timon, Toileus and Croceida.
- Happiness Drama - Loves Labels Lost, Comedy of Errors, Two Gentlemen of Verona, Midsummer Nights Dream, Merchant of Venice, Taming of the Shrew, Mary Wives of Windsor.
- Historical Stories - Henry the Sixth, Richard the Third, Richard the Second, King John, Henry the Fourth, Henry the Fifth.
He did not stop writing plays but also wrote poetry. He also published a collection of poems entitled "100 Poems".
He took the field of English drama, which had been subjugated to Latin and Greek drama, in a new direction. This is not a coincidence, but a deliberate act of contemporary drama in the interests of society. Shakespeare's drama was a refreshing experience for the club at the time. So it was not long before an audience was formed around Shakespeare's creations. The play "Hamlet" is based on an old Danish story, but adapts to a practical society presented by active living people in the living world. There is also a liveliness in the characterization. This new twist that Shakespeare created from it was able to create a distaste in the audience.
One day in December 1596, there were many people fighting in front of a theater to buy tickets. Tickets for that day expire and tickets to be purchased the next day. Instantly they were also over. That was to watch William Shakespeare's "Merchant of Venice." This incident shows how many people came together for his play.
William Shakespeare left London in 1610 and moved to his hometown of Strafford. In 1616 William Shakespeare died. His remains are buried in the Strafford Church grounds.
