This group of tiny pink mold is called Carnival Candy Slime Mold (Arcyria denudata) belong to the family Arcyriaceae which is in the genus Arcyria. It has very striking pink species which was formally consider to be a fungus but has now been reclassified as a slime mold. I found them in line as if they were like tiny pink soldiers waiting for the command to fight in war. I found them on dead and decaying wood in damp habitats. Slime molds are a really diverse group. This is also called cellular slime molds, live as a single cell for most of their life, but collect with others in a swarm in response to chemical signals like, "We got no food here!" or "Got to procreate NOW!" Others, called plasmodial slime molds, spend their entire lives as one humongous organism enclosed in a single membrane, containing thousands of nuclei. Unlike the cultivated mushroom, this kind of mushroom grow wildly in woodland or sometime we can find them in the bush, and remain untouchable. Having good shape, made these mold look elegance and charming which soon attracted me to come up with some macro shots.
